Lifeguards

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Smile and pleasantly attend to our guests' needs.
  • Enforce general park rules, ride rules and safety rules.
  • Provide adequate instructions to guests.
  • Assure guest safety and provide first aid care.
  • Perform job functions according to park policies and procedures as noted in the general handbook and Department operations handbook.
  • Assure the correct use of the slides by the guests.
  • Contribute to park clean up which includes park pick-up, pressure washing, cleaning tables, and hosing walkways.
  • Meet the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training requirements for a shallow water lifeguard certification which are: a) Swim 500 yards, b) Retrieve a 10-lb. brick from 8 feet of water and c) Pass a written and practical American Red Cross certification test (yearly).
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Tolerate varying weather and water temperatures.
  • Physical exertion to perform rescues.
  • Carry heavy objects such as hoses, tables and signs.
  • Attend 1 hour of Inservice Training per week.
  • Participate in American Red Cross audit programs.

Guest Services Staff

Must be 16 years old or older.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Smile and pleasantly attend to our guests' needs.
  • Understand various admission types.
  • Understand turnstile procedures and operations.
  • Ensure that all opening and closing procedures have been completed.
  • Able to sit/stand for long periods of time in varying temperatures.
  • Know all park rules and regulations.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Use two-way radio and communicate with proper radio codes.
  • Understand all duties and responsibilities as they pertain to the following positions: Admissions, Concessions, Gift Shop.
  • Admissions, concessions, gift shop and party staff.

Swim Lesson Instructors

Must be 17 or older
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must posess American Red Cross Water Safety Certification within first 3 months of employment.
  • Teach swim lessons to children of all ages and abilities
  • Tolerate varying weather and water temperatures
  • Physical exertion to perform lessons.
  • Carry heavy objects.
  • Attend 1 hour of Inservice Training per week.
  • Participate in American Red Cross audit programs.
